Small Mixed Farm Manager,
North Pembrokeshire

Wanted, someone to  manage a small, mixed farm, certified Pasture For Life in North Pembrokeshire. Penbanc farm has a small herd of Traditional Herefords, Shetland sheep, Tamworth pigs and two horses. Either freelance payment or a salary is being offered, with the potential to share the main farmhouse, bills etc. Amount to be discussed with the candidate.

 

The ideal person would be practical, observant, ready to work within Penbanc's farming practice principles, proactive, open and willing to learn or indeed challenge the status quo.

The role entails ensuring the organisation is working towards it’s strategic plan and vision, looking after the day-to-day management of the cooperative, and providing line management to all other members of staff. The Coordinator is supported by, and reports to the ELC Board of Directors.

The Ecological Land Cooperative (ELC) is a social enterprise based in Bristol. They exist to widen affordable access to land for sustainable land-based uses. They have six smallholding sites with the potential for 18 low impact, residential, small farm businesses.

 

3 days (22.5 hours) per week. The post is expected to be home-based with the opportunity to work flexible hours and regular visits to Bristol to meet with colleagues.

March Farm in Leicestershire is looking for an Arable Foreman to join their farming team.

This is a team that is striving to grow healthy crops whilst improving soil and the wider natural environment. This is a 3000 acre mixed farm with full integration between the arable and livestock.

Radford Mill Farm is an organic farm of 115 acres, the majority of which is currently used for grazing and hay. The farm has been certified organic for 45 years and they are focused on increasing biodiversity and soil health while producing delicious and nutritious food for the local community.

The Assistant grower will be assisting with all aspects of organic vegetable and orchard growing. This includes propagation, polytunnel, outdoor, and tractor-based field scale production. 

​

The role will be full-time, beginning as soon as possible, and be year-round with less hours on the vegetable and orchard in the winter. On-site accommodation is available. 

​

£10.50 PAYE inc. statutory holiday pay, sick pay, and pension contributions.

The plot is based at FarmED, a Centre for Regenerative Agriculture in the Cotswolds and they share much of their ethos when it comes to valuing biodiversity and recognising the importance of the soil food web in food farming and education.
