'Perfect Learning Scenario'

Our visitors this weekend included a local group, keen to see natural history given more prominence on the school curriculum. The children, their parents and educators enjoyed a farm walk and talk by Emma @thekitchengardenpeople , observed the hares and other wildlife on the farm, camped overnight in our fields and the created lots of art, including this beautiful piece of batik, inspired by all they saw and discovered at FarmED. Dr Kim Polgreen, Youth Educator in Residence at Wytham Woods and Leader, Youth Sustainability Summer School ECI, Oxford said: ‘Perfect learning scenario this weekend: mixed age groups, hands on experiences, a gentle pace, beautiful setting, and art to reflect and absorb the learning.’.
