About the Event
Leadership development and application for professional advisors, community facilitators and mentors.
We are proud to introduce a leadership course for potential advisors, community project leaders and mentors in the sector. This is a three module course for individuals who wish to apply their leadership skills and energy to climate change and sustainability projects in their local community. It may also be suitable for those seeking to adapt their management style for small teams or community volunteers.
The course features three two-day modules:
Module A: Individual Skills. Delegates will build on their latent inter-personal skills to develop the essential characteristics and communication skills to influence, motivate and liaise with partners and potential allies in their projects. (No pre-course requirement.)
Module B: Team Skills. Delegates will learn the management skills needed to manage a small (civilian) team and work in small groups to practise and embed their knowledge. (Must have attended Module A.)
Module C: Project Skills. Delegates will learn about local government governance, sources of funding and (Must have attended Modules A & B.)
Delegates completing the entire course will receive a certificate of completion and may be eligible for financial and other support from the GREAT project.
