The GREAT project is proud to have sponsored the development of this highly acclaimed personal development course for:
- local facilitators
- advisors
- community project leaders
- mentors
This is a three module course for individuals who wish to apply their leadership skills and energy to climate change and sustainability projects in their local community. It is also suitable for those seeking to adapt their management style for small teams or community volunteers.
The course features three two-day modules:
Module A: Individual Skills. Delegates will build on their latent inter-personal skills to develop the essential characteristics and communication skills to influence, motivate and liaise with partners and potential allies in their projects.
Module B: Team Skills. Delegates will learn the management skills needed to manage a small team and work in small groups to practise and embed their knowledge.
Module C: Project Skills. Delegates will learn about local government governance, sources of funding and how to run succeful meetigns.
Delegates completing the entire course will receive a certificate of completion and may be eligible for financial and other support from the GREAT project. The course is also worth 2 BASIS points.
